Chorister for the day

14th March 2018

Six children from the choir had an amazing time at St. Nicholas' Cathedral today learning about being a chorister. The children worked with musical director, Ian Roberts, before meeting and rehearsing with the cathedral choristers. They learnt a piece of 16th Century polyphony, a psalm setting and a contemporary anthem. Finally, the children joined the choristers to sing a public evensong service. The service was attended by a number of parents who were amazed by the children's achievements. A huge well done to the children involved for showing such fantastic maturity, attitude and musicianship.
