'Investing In Children Award' September 2016

The School Council, represented by children from Year 2-6, met with Victoria Conroy from Community Services to talk about Stocksfield Avenue. From the information they gave her, the school was awarded Investing In Children for the third year running - a great achievement! Investing In Children celebrates the rights of children and young people, and their influence on the services they use, in this case, school. The report shows that children at Stocksfield Avenue are involved in genuine dialogue that leads to change.

The report said "Stocksfield Avenue Primary is a warm, welcoming and inviting school. The children I met and spoke to are a credit to the school, being very polite and well-mannered, as well as keen and eager to talk about what their school means to them, and how proud they are of being involved.I recommend the school keep up the good work in involving children in the decisions made within the school."
