'Men Behaving Dadly' June 2016

Despite the weather, 200 men and children enjoyed their afternoon of fun. After a carousel of activities, the afternoon ended with a well-earned hot dog and juice.Thank You to everyone who supported the afternoon, and 'just got on with it' - attitude was "What rain?"

Thank You to:

The Friends and Parents who came to help prepare the hot dogs;
JJ Sports for supporting the event once again; - Martial Arts and Keep Fit were newbies this year, Frisbee a stalwart activity;
Family Learningr supporting again - they ran the Science Challenge;
Mr. Burt and Mr. McHugh for putting everyone through their paces on the football pitch and with the Funs For All;
Year 5/6 helpers who were fantastic, and got a lot of positive comments - they managed to get everyone where they should be, on time, didn't lose anyone, and kept the groups in order - not an easy task when trying to ferry 14 adults and around 20 children around the school.

Comments received were really positive, for example:

Loved it! Super Fun;
Great fun, Well Done;
I had a great day, well done all involved;
Very, very, very good, will come again;
After a long shift a work, it was nice to have a couple of hours unwind;
It was brilliant, looking forward to next year already;
It was 'tip-top'; It was fandabidocious! :)
Helpers were a great support;
Cheers Stocksfield, today has been A-MAZ-ING!

Only negative comment recieved was lack of time to complete all six activities - unfortunately, in one afternoon, we can only get through 4 activities per group, so if one or two are missed, cannot be helped.

Why oh why does Fathers' Day have to be around the start of the Hoppings - never going to get sunshine!
