Musical Masterclass!

19th June 2019

Children learned a traditional South African Zulu song called 'Babathandaza' and then explored the use of the jembe drums.

These drums were originally from West Africa and were initially used for tribal warnings.

The children created their own rhythm using ‘bass and tone‘ beats, and as a group they were able to tap a rhythm and listen whilst the other children repeated it. (Call and Response)

A brilliant afternoon!
